This website has been setup primarily to share my experiences of walking in the Lake District. It is by no means a guide but more a personal diary of where I have been and what was seen on the way. My descriptions show a lot of detail but some of this can change over time as well as the rights of way associated with them and so should not be taken as legal rights of way.

You can choose to use the maps I have provided as a guide but always refer to an up to date Ordnance Survey map before attempting any walk. Remember, the land you are walking on belongs to someone so please make sure you are allowed access it.

My walk descriptions provide my 'verdict', based on how hard I believe that paticular walk is. This will be affected by weather conditions and will also vary from person to person, as will the time taken to complete each walk.

Remember, the Lake District weather can change at any time so always carry the right equipment with you as it is your responsibility to be prepared for all conditions and situations. You should at all times carry a map and compass with you and know how to use them to get yourself to safety should the need arise.
