Grizedale Forest Park Makeover
Grizedale Forest Park’s
visitor centre has been granted a £5,000,000 make over by the UK and
European grants commission.
This investment will safeguard 200 jobs with the prospect of creating some
new ones.
Part of the plans is to incorporate renewable energies into the centre such as installing some wood-fuelled heating systems.
Lord Clark who is chairman of the Forestry Commission said “It’s tremendous news that the funding is now in place and we can go ahead with this very exciting programme of changes at Grizedale”.
